CLUSTER STORY
Rhododendron, locally known as buransh in many Himalayan regions, is closely linked with mountain seasons, local food traditions, and community knowledge. Its red flowers mark the arrival of spring and have traditionally been used in drinks, preserves, and household wellness preparations.
Through Amaley, the Himalayan Rhododendron Cluster supports local women, SHGs, and collectors to carefully pick, hand-sort, dry, and process flowers with better quality standards. The aim is to preserve the beauty and value of this Himalayan resource while creating dignified income opportunities for mountain communities.
