Nettle has long been part of Himalayan life, used by communities for food, fibre, traditional wellness, and household needs. Often found growing naturally in mountain landscapes, it represents the quiet strength of the hills — resilient, useful, and deeply local.
Through Amaley, the Himalayan Nettle Cluster gives this traditional resource a new enterprise pathway. Women and local producers are supported to collect, sort, dry, process, and package nettle-based products with improved quality, hygiene, and market readiness.
